The Role
Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will support numerous accounting functions, including payroll and also assist with the below financial duties:
- Post monthly accruals and fortnightly payroll journals
- Undertake payroll operations by processing fortnightly adjustments including superannuation, salary packaging, leave entitlements and WorkCover
- Support audit processes by preparing and delivering payroll-related documents
- Monitor corporate credit card expenditure, ensuring invoices and receipts are approved via the correct delegation policy
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable and follow up any outstanding accounts
- Manage timely preparation of program invoices, and ensure payment confirmations are communicated to relevant stakeholders
Skills Required
You will have demonstrated experience using accounting systems, ideally from a not-for-profit environment. You will also have the following skills:
- Experience with payroll processing and using payroll software, including attendance and time
- Have a strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of AP and AR processes
- Hold a Working with Children Check and current criminal records check with ongoing validity
- Tertiary qualifications in finance or accounting
- Desirable to be CPA Qualified and experience using Xero or Elmo payroll system
