Benefits and Culture Generous salary with not-for-profit salary packaging available Full time role, with some hybrid WFH options Excellent Sydney CBD location Opportunity to contribute to important health related online learning programs The Role In this role you will lead the development and implementation of an online learning program that builds the capacity of Australia’s community-controlled HIV workforce, and other community health workforces to deliver services to people with HIV and those at-risk of HIV. The goal of the program is to ensure workforces are routinely updated on scientific, medical and socio-cultural developments in HIV through online learning modules and other activities. The program develops and implements skills-based learning packages to develop the capacity of community workforces and to inform HIV program planning and delivery among community-controlled service delivery organisations. You will be responsible for leading a dedicated and highly trained team to achieve the program’s objectives with the following responsibilities: Conceptualise and implement an annual program of activities Oversee the implementation of a monitoring and evaluation framework Lead the delivery of a high-quality program, activities and reporting to funders Convene a national forum of member organisations Support the leadership team to maintain relations with member organisations Support your supervisor to provide routine reporting to the board Understand, implement and participate in processes, policies and procedures Skills Required You have extensive experience overseeing and strategically delivering online and in-person learning programs in a health related, education or like-minded sector. Crucially you have demonstrated capacity in conceptualising, developing and implementing a workplan of online learning activities to build the capacity of an organisation or workforce. You have also engaged with socially and culturally diverse stakeholders to determine their learning requirements and to promote the program. You also have the following experience: A track record of autonomously planning, implementing and completing technical projects Ability to work collaboratively to resolve complex issues Negotiation skills to achieve results while maintaining important relationships Experience and success in managing staff Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills Excellent judgement to manage and advise management on sensitive issues Familiarity with learning management systems and associated platforms, particularly Absorb and Articulate is desirable

About Nganampa Nganampa Health Council (NHC) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation and for over 40 years has been delivering high-quality primary health care across the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) Lands in the far northwest of South Australia. Home to approximately 3,000 residents, the APY Lands border the Northern Territory and Western Australia. Anangu culture is strong and Pitjantjatjara and Yankunytjatjara are first languages. About the team Community Programs brings together the environmental health and welfare program Uwankara Palyanyku Kanyintjaku, the Tackling Indigenous Smoking (TIS) program and the Anangu Workforce Development Program (AWD). It’s a newly formed team focussed on strengthening Nganampa’s Anangu workforce and it’s second responder program, and the active involvement of Anangu in the management and operation of the Health Council’s programs. About the role Reporting to the Health Services Manager, you will lead a multi-disciplinary team to implement and improve programs that address environmental and social factors impacting health and wellbeing outcomes for Anangu, as well as public health initiatives such as the Tackling Indigenous Smoking Program. You'll oversee workforce development initiatives to create employment and training pathways for Anangu and that continue to ensure the safety and security of staff in daily and after-hours operations. About you You will bring experience leading community-based public health or workforce development programs, ideally within Indigenous and remote settings, along with an understanding of government and philanthropic funding in the areas of public, environmental or Indigenous health and wellbeing. You will be an experienced leader with a considered and collaborative approach, and a track record in delivering effective programs.
